Zelanda Atiya

My chosen name, Zelanda Atiya, represents the various cultural encounters and life stages that have made me who I am. I tend to write about death overtaking life, cultures clashing, being a wife and mother, and the mindfuckery of having been raised in a cult. My spirit animal is an owl. I haven't decided if it is a teensy tiny mochuelo or a gloriously attractive snowy owl. But when death overtakes my human form, my wings will carry me into the forest, where I will survey my kingdom and stalk through the night.
